SGI MAP PACK endorsed community maps for FA - Version 2 Thanks to tGxBartsBiggestFan and XBX-Diligence, SGI now has an 'endorsed' map pack for Forged Alliance! What does this mean?!? These two long time FA veterans have compiled and curated a map pack with 119 of some of the best community made maps for Forged Alliance, and put them in one simple zip file. Included are 1v1 through to 4v4 maps, so lets get ready for some refreshing team games on new soil! From now on, SGI hosted games may require you to have this pack installed, so follow these instructions. Download the map pack from this is a new link, uploaded by CryZeX Important: Most maps don't work with AI.
How to install If you need any help, Bart has kindly offered to guide people through the process, or you might have some luck asking the SGI mods too:). izitsykoste 1 tunti sitten I would recommend adding maps to the user/documents/mygames/gaspoweredgames/supremecommanderforgedalliance/maps/ location as adding games to the game content structure causes issues with multiplayer versions. This is a bug that arose from the old gpgnet vault system. Maps that use version numbers can have them appended when they are in core game files. Anyone adding maps to the correct 'user' location will have issues trying to connect to 'core' location files. They other beauty of this is if you reinstall or remove you core installation for whatever reason, you won't lose you maps in your user area.
This is also the same for file validation in steam. If you use cloud docs like onedrive - even better you can point your default document folder to your cloud location, use the same structure and the game will find it too That doest work for all users. but it's mechanics haven't really aged well What the fuck? Thanks to it being still maintained by the community, it hasn't even aged that much in terms of technology (okay, the models are still pseudo-3D, but you have high-resolution support, motion interpolation to make up for lower animation framerates, higher resolution environment texture packs and all that kind of stuff). Anyway, as far as RTS goes, my personal favourite and one that for whatever reason isn't well known is Kohan (Immortal Sovereigns/Ahriman's Gift).
